The Tassenbacherhof
The Tassenbacherhof is my home, my heart and my soul.
My family has lived on the farm for generations and I am delighted that our guests feel just as comfortable here as we do. Perhaps also because, as a trained chef, I like to spoil them with culinary delights.
For centuries, carriages have stopped at the Tassenbacherhof on their journey through the Alps. In 2012, the property, located at 1,100 m above sea level in the small village of Strassen, was restored in accordance with the plans of a renowned architect while preserving its special character.
The hostess Margit Aigner and her family live and work in the house. The first floor – a house within a house – has been converted into a single, 250 m² apartment where families and groups of friends can enjoy a vacation with every comfort.
Guests at the Tassenbacherhof like to refer to the house as a “meeting place”, because the convivial atmosphere of the former inn can still be felt today. Incidentally, word of the successful symbiosis of the historic building and understated luxury quickly spread in architectural circles – and earned the Tassenbacherhof an award as one of the 25 most beautiful designer hotels in Tyrol (Tirol Werbung).
The house is fully equipped with free WiFi (fiber optic internet).
There is a train and bus stop in the immediate vicinity.
